Adventure Bay is a large eastern-facing bay on South Bruny. Adventure Bay is one of the main townships of Bruny Island. It is approximately 35 minutes drive from Roberts Point. Adventure Bay is the base of a number of the island's main walks and a variety of tourist attractions. The Adventure Bay Beach is a popular spot for swimming as it is one of the more sheltered beaches on the island.

The area is also of cultural and historical significance with a decorated history. Adventure Bay was named after Captain Tobias Furneaux's ship 'The Adventure' in 1773. The area was visited by Furneaux and also Captains Cook, Bligh, D'Entrecasteaux and Tobin in the 1700s.
