Mangana Mountain Cottages offer self-contained accommodation on South Bruny Island in southern Tasmania. Bruny Island is accessed by a 15 minutes’ ride on the car ferry from Kettering, 37 kilometres south of Hobart.
There are three cottages are set among sweet smelling gardens, on the slopes of Mount Mangana, with magnificent views of the countryside.
Mangana Mountain Cottages have limited cooking facilities, microwave oven, laundry and barbeque facilities, heating, television, electric blankets and car parking. Some have a hot tub or spa. Cots are available. Mangana Mountain Cottages are a non-smoking establishment.
The cottages are close to natural and untouched terrain, you can relax and enjoy the country lifestyle, and the farm animals on the property.
Bruny Island has beautiful surf beaches on the east, and tranquil bays on the west. There are many walking tracks, fishing areas, wildlife reserves and it’s a bird lovers paradise, boasting 12 endemic bird species.
At the far south of Bruny Island is Cape Bruny with its historic lighthouse overlooking high, sheer cliffs.
