Wainui Retreat offers self-contained holiday house accommodation on Bruny Island, overlooking the beautiful D'Entrecasteaux Channel.

There are four bedrooms – two twin rooms and two queen rooms. Three bedrooms have ensuite facilities.

Light continental-style breakfast provisions are included in the tariff.

Bruny Island has superb scenery, beaches, and a wide variety of wildlife. You can relax on the beach, take an eco cruise from Adventure Bay and see seal colonies, dolphins, sea eagles, and at dusk visit the Fairy Penguins at The Neck Reserve. Visit South Bruny National Park and take in the spectacular views of the southern ocean from the Cape Bruny lighthouse.

Wanui Retreat is only a few minutes’ walk from the Nebraska Beach and 25 minutes from the ferry terminal. Bruny Island is accessed by a 15 minute car ferry from the town of Kettering, 40 minutes’ drive (34 kilometres/21 miles) south of Hobart
