Mavista Cottages offers comfortable self-contained country-style cottage accommodation at Adventure Bay on Bruny Island, Tasmania.

It’s a 30 minutes drive south of Hobart to catch a ferry to Bruny Island.

Mavista has a one bedroom and a three-bedroom cottage. Both have full kitchen, laundry and private bathroom facilities, wood heating and television.

The three-bedroom cottage accommodates eight persons and has a spa.

Generous country breakfast provisions of homemade bread and preserves are included in the tariff.

Relax on the veranda, take a leisurely stroll on the beach, enjoy a rainforest walk, visit the local maritime museum and Cape Bruny Lighthouse. Abundant bird life, swimming, bush walking and complete relaxation.

Breathtaking views, rugged coastlines, great ocean beaches for surfing and beach fishing, sheltered bays, are just of few of the things you can enjoy whilst you’re here. At dusk if you visit “The Neck” beach you can see fairy penguins come ashore. Sightings of the Southern Rights whales are not uncommon between July and August.

Bruny Island is a bushwalkers paradise with walks that will take you into the depth of the rainforest to Mavista Falls or to the top of Fluted Cape.
