Attractions
Whether you're after a thrill, a taste of history or a unique look into a unique natural environment; Bruny Island
has you covered. The island is home to a number of cultural and natural attractions including the Bligh Museum and
Bruny Island Charters cruise. Bruny Island is also home to the South Bruny National Park and offers some spectacular
scenery. If you're staying on the island, don't miss the penguins emerging at night from the water at The Neck.
Food, Dining and Wine
Bruny Island offers some of Tasmania's finest quality produce including wine, oysters, fudge and cheese. The island is
home to Australia's southern-most pub, southern-most winery and some of Tasmania's finest produce. There are also a
number of unique cafés scattered across the island.
Walks
Bruny Island is also home to the South Bruny National Park. Much of the park is
coastal offering stunning views, however in some parts of the park lies lush rainforest containing a number of plant
species unique to Tasmania. The South Bruny National Park is also abundant in birdlife offering excellent opportunities
for birdwatching. There are a number of walks throughout the island, many of these within the bounds of the National Park.
Walks vary in difficulty from short 15 minute walks suitable for all ages to full day walks for experienced walkers,
so there really is something for everyone.
